Midland Today

Oil wells, sand storms, dust and heat -- for some those things symbolize the Midland, Texas area. Not so anymore.

They have six museums, a community theatre, planetarium, symphony/chorale, annual events and festivals, the Midland RockHounds, the Permian Basin Charity Golf Tournament, the Midland Polo Club, rodeo events, automotive racetrack, and even the Confederate Air Force -- its all in the Midland of today.

Midland is Building

Yes, Midland is perched on the plain of the Llano Estacado. The land is flat and sandy with little vegetation and lots of oil wells. It is a place that challenges a man to work and produce results.

President George W. Bush recalls Midland as a place where the Sky’s the Limit.

Just look what they have built so far.
