Bayou Segnette State Park

In Westwego you can rent a comfortable cabin with your deck perched over the bayou. The only sounds you will hear are fish jumping in the water, and the calls of wild birds.

Antebellum Homes

Regardless the river or bayou you choose you will find hundreds of stately homes with their white columns. Many are bed and breakfasts. Many are open to the public for tours. Many have original furnishings. Some have huge gardens, oak trees dripping in moss, or are bird or animal sanctuaries.

New Orleans

New Orleans

There's still only one French New Orleans with its balconies laden with lacy wrought iron. From the Farmer's Market to the River Boats to the bistros and blues that sound up and down Basin Street there is only one New Orleans. Shuck oysters until you fill. Eat beignets till you're stuffed. Preservation Hall, red beans, souvenir strings of glittery beads, poor boy sandwiches, and chicory laced coffee are just a few of the treats you'll find in this unique American classic.
