Cologne
Germany

Cologne has long been known as the home of the Cologne Cathedral, the fourth largest church in the world. It is also home to the 12 Romanesque churches, all of which are within its medieval city walls.

This picture was taken by a special friend from a bridge crossing the Rhine on a cold and windy night in January. Brave he was not to get blown off the bridge.

Wertheim Germany

This picturesque German town is located where the Main River meets the Tauber. The village lies below Wertheim Castle which was built in the 12th century.

Wertheim Market Square is filled with well-preserved, half-timbered homes and businesses mostly from the 16th century.

Here we see it decorated for Christmas.
