Snodonia or Eryri National Park

Eryri or the Snowdonia National Park was designated a National park in 1951. It covers 2,171 square kilometres (838 square miles), and includes the Carneddau, and Glyderau mountain ranges as well as the highest mountain in England or Wales.

The mountain has two names -- Yr Wyddfa, the Tomb in Welsh, or Snowdon in English. The Welsh name for the park, Eryri, means "place of the eagles".
