Bay of Fundy

Bay of Fundy Lighthouse

The Bay of Fundy is home to the word’s fastest changing tides, which can rise or fall up to 8 feet per hour. They are also the world’s largest because they can rise and fall 50 feet each day. This causes the salt water of the Atlantic Ocean to be forced back against itself and appear to be flowing against the tide.

Hartland Covered Bridge

This is one of many covered bridges that shelter roads where they cross waters in New Brunswick. This one is believed to be the longest in the world at 1,282 feet in length. It is in full use today over the St. John's River in western New Brunswick near Hartland. It was completed in 1901 and is still in use today.
